tony gonzalez-5-1024x1024Anthony David Gonzalez was born on February 27, 1976, in Torrance, California. He grew up in the southern part of California and was a student at Huntington Beach High School where Gonzalez was a star player on both the basketball and football teams. Gonzalez excelled in these games at the University of California. He was the team's football coach to the 1996 Aloha Bowl. Here, Gonzalez set the school's bowl record with nine receptions. Gonzalez was the basketball coach into the Sweet 16 of NCAA basketball tournament in just a few months following. Gonzalez went on to the NFL Draft in 1997. The Kansas City Chiefs chose Gonzalez as their number thirteen overall. Gonzalez was a member of the Chiefs from 1997 to 2008. The Chiefs dealt Gonzalez to the Atlanta Falcons. He was never able to catch less than 59 passes during Gonzalez's second NFL season.
